Hi all:

Proud owner of 5 years of an 89 FJ62, beige/brown, with 113K miles on it. Recently replaced the stock suspension with an OME suspension, ie. leaf springs, shocks, bushings. Rides on 265/75R16 Pro Comp AT tires and alloy wheels.

No other major mods yet but looking to replace the doors as they have the typical rust at the bottom and the inner and outer skins have seperated on 2 of the 4. Any good sources for the doors at a reasonable price would be appreciated. Next will be a much needed paint job and then new carpet and seats.

Also are there any sources for the plastic trim pieces in the rear cargo areas. You know the pieces that cover the seatbelts and run along the bottom of the window. Cant find them on SOR.

So many more questions, but will cut it off now. Will post a pic shortly.

Thanks all

Scott

Hey, I get to be the first to say welcome!

Check out the parts for sale section here, people part out 60s on a regular basis (60 or 62 doors will work for you) Same for the trim. If no luck then cruiserparts.net has good prices, can be hard to get ahold of, family run business, but they are good people.

EDIT, same for the trim as in sources NOT 60 OR 62, they are different.

Here is a pic of my 62:

welcome to the family!!!

enjoy the wealth of the info you can get here.

Hey Scooter !

Another Florida LC owner (me); grew up in Orlando, visit many times a year (son lives there)

Bill Cross ( sputnik40...) is parting out an FJ60 , the cargo bay trim should be swappable.
See the NW Florida.... in the forums listed well below the FJ60 Tech Forum (this one)

There's a guy in Kiss. that used to own a 62, ( "Omar", now has a 60 ) , use www.flca.org b-board to contact him...he's a good source of info.
