Beater regular cab Tacoma. You don't want too many seats in a high schooler's vehicle. With a LC, your boy will probably have the go-to vehicle for piling friends in and going to lunch or wherever. Too many distractions.

Leave it to the 21st century to have other people tell you how to raise your kids. My first car was a V8 4R and my brothers was a new WRX. My sister drives the S4. Dunno why people think parents can't raise responsible kids.

The 100 would be an amazing first car. Do not buy them some small POS unsafe sedan.
