You could remove the lid by undoing the screws on the hinges if you need another inch or so , but it would fit in most large suitcases. Or put in a sports bag and take it as carry on luggage

Hello,

The console's plastic is a bit brittle. It fits in the luggage but make sure it is properly padded/wrapped.

The console consists of a lid, a little box, the console body and a liner. The latter is made of steel.
