I've been around for a while, but never connected with the group. My job keeps me rediculously busy, and I usually spend my spare time thinking up ways to improve the 40. Some times they are good improvement, and sometimes they are more pain then I could have ever imagined. The later is were I am at now.

Currently, I'm fighting with an NV4500 that I put behind my 2f. It would be great if I could get another set of eyes on this to help me solve the problems that I'm having. I started a thread in the tech section that spells it out pretty well. You have to read it to the end, because it took me the entire thread to really understand the problem. If you just want the cliff notes, read my first post and my last.

I hope to make the next meet, but I might be out of town on the 21st.

Thanks in advanced. I hope to meet you guys in the near future.

Gosh man, I wish I could help out. I just dont have that kind of experience.

Same here. I dont know much about custom transmission.transfer options.
Where are you located? Willing to help if possible.
The only think close I've done is help a friend relocate his drivetrain after an accident. All the mounts had sheer'd off and jsut had to get it back in the right place.

Good luck

I'm located in chick's beach. The project isn't as crazy as it sounds. I have to relocate the slave and shave off a bit of the bell housing. Also, I have to push the gas tank back about 3". Once this is done, I can raise the transmission up to the necessary height. I'm pretty sure I can do all of this, but a little help, and someone reassuring me that my ideas are sound is always appreciated.

When I read over this it sure seems like a lot, but when you look at it up close it really isn't to bad; it will just be a tedious process.
