Will take pictures of the rust free cream puff on my next trip home and post them on my profile page.

wouldn't mind those SOR's if you're separating...vultures.

Sounds like a hell of a nice set up as well, if he is serious, and you are serious, you should give Alabama heavy thought. Nothing like definitive, good/precise service history, almost makes the miles (in general) irrelevant. You could have a very nice first road trip up the blue ridge and other nice back roads.
Not a parts car. Nice try as I'd do the same.

Regarding your question:
Not sure how to do a pre-purchase inspection. Do I bring it to a nearby Toyota dealer? How do I get the seller to agree?

Make sure you get a PPI. In my quest for ownership I was about to but a 2000 LC. The cost was 10k. After being told it was excellent order I had them take it to the Toyota dealership next door. It needed 5k worth of repairs. I obviously ran not walked away.

Tell the owner you would like to get a PPI at your cost and they should not have much of a problem with it unless there is something wrong with the vehicle.

One thing I have been told about LC vs Lexus. The Lexus is often more pampered than the LC during ownership. Not sure if that is true, but something to think about. I found an excellent deal on a one owner Lexus. So I bit and I am glad I did. I will, however, be debagging mine very soon because like your wife am not a "Lexus" type of person.;)

Good luck!!
