Hi folks,

Happy to be here. Long term Volkswagen-group cars fan. Offroader since 2015 also long term Mitsubishi Pajero fan (you might be thinking why I am here at this point?!;) ) -

after all due consideration and my love to offroad vehicles, body on frame large vehiclea I've come to senses that I crave 100 series. On top of that it would also fulfill one of my small lifelong dreams of owning a V8 powered car (yes, it's not that common in Europe :) )

Oddly enough (being an European), after long classifieds searches, seeing a number of cars for sale, it appeared to me in a form of an L badged US import - the condition was so nice it was hard to say no to and I bought it.

Had +15 various cars in my life and I say this with full responsibility - I never had a car that brought me that much joy by driving it, owning one and even by only looking at it. Best car ever.

Of course it's not just sunshine and rainbows, but as a long time member of a number of car forums I hate it when people just join because they have problem x, they say hi here's my issue and then after receiving help they vanish. I will keep this post just as hello only. Thank you all!

Welcome! Tell us a bit sometime about how it's like owning a 100 in Europe, as in repairs, parts etc...!

Happy to do so! In fact, two colleagues from my off-road association here in Poland own 100-series, one of them was THE one to convince me to buy it (17-year Lexus for the price of a new mid-low end car was quite the mind maze to go trough for me).

Btw check us out on YouTube. We organize the oldest off-road rally in Poland (since 1999)

Yes, our association is named after the famous Ford MUTT M151.

Hi, had a problem with AC (one of the lines were cracked), replacing the line, filling the AC in and sanitizing the whole system costed me 750 polish which is around 183 bucks.

Welcome (from Australia!). Very nice looking 'Cruiser and a serious looking Paj :)

Your dogs will love the Cruiser too. Mine think Mitsubishi's smell funny.......

Hey! and thanks!

my Paj smells like them already so they feel at home :) I even have a special heater setup with which we can sleep in the rooftop tent and they can sleep inside and both (the tent and inside of the car) get Webasto heating :)

With the Pajero already well outfitted, will the Lexus also be getting some off road goodies or will it be staying close to stock? If the Lexus is getting off road mods, what's the accessibility of those in Poland?

The price for the AC repair doesn't sound too bad!

LX will remain bone stock as a daily driver - for now :)

the aftermarket mods for 100 series availability in Poland is pretty good I can say. Check out Bison Gear for example. Not much LX dedicated stuff though, however - not really needed as most things fit!
