Sweet rig!
I just got an 07 LX over a month ago and am trying to get to basic maintenance stuff myself.
Easiest thing is to grease the driveshafts. There are 6 spots and it helps to position the vehicle just right so the zerks point down to the ground. There was some binding on the rear driveshaft when I lowered the suspension. It is gone now.
I'm also planning on flushing and replacing the AHC fluid. There are some good tutorials on YouTube.
Lubricating the window and door seals is another good one. I used this Honda Silicone grease off Amazon. The power windows move more freely and faster now.
If you want better lighting, there are a lot of led upgrades for interior and exterior lighting. I ordered a set from HIDKITPROS for the interior lighting as well as the reverse lights.
The Center Lock Differential can become faulty. I noticed that when I hit the CDL button, I could tell the center diff was locked. But no dash light came on. So I got under the LX, found the sensor on top of the transfer case and popped it out with a 12" 27mm wrench. You just have to squeeze the tab and pull the sensor from the connection. With mine, the plunger that moves when the CDL is on felt fine. I saw, however, that the connector had oil in it. So I cleaned out both ends with MAF cleaner, put it back together and viola! Dash light works.
Restoring the headlights. The front lights on my LX are polycarbonate. I think yours are too. If so, Cerakote makes a kit that will clean them and coat them with a UV protection. I used it on my Camry and LX. Made a huge difference and it's cheap and easy to do.
Last thing I can think of doing is going after any rust you might have. As an example, I've noticed the bolts around the rear door latch tend to rust easy which leads to that area rusting out over time. So I pulled them out, sprayed a rust inhibitor primer, then a semi gloss black, cleaned the painted surface and put them back. You could also use an undercoating like Woolwax or Fluid Film for under the LX to help protect all those nuts and bolts and whatnot.
Hope this helps. I know there are some other things to check that I'm forgetting now. I'm planning on taking the LX to a local expert to have them do a thorough inspection to find anything else.
Good luck and congrats on getting the King of SUVs!
