BRAND NEW. Speedometer corrector for tire size adjustment. adjust for nearly every size. works for at least 80 and 100 series trucks, or any vehicle with a hall effect sensor. $180 from Marks 4WD in AUS. $115 shipped to the lower 48. additional shipping if going farther. Can easily be sliced in to the harness behind the glove box for an 80 series. I can supply all crimp connectors if you need them for free.

from their website:
Electronic Speedometer Correction Unit

The new Marks 4WD Speedometer Correction Unit is the first of its kind for a few reasons:

  • Enter your factory tyre size and then your new tyre size - the unit will calculate the required change
  • Enter tyre details in metric (265/75 r16) or imperial (33x12.5 r15)
  • Adjust by a percentage change only
  • Adjustable in 0.5% steps so you can get your speedometer set accurately
  • LCD display
  • You can adjust and save the programs in real time while driving the vehicle

I could use this but don't know a thing about it. Is it a purely mechanical correction or is somehow adjustable to accommodate different ratio and tire size combinations?

Thanks for the link but Marks never does provide much info on the products they sell. Where exactly does this unit plug into the harness?

EDIT: im fairly certain, for an 80 series, this can be spliced after the IH1 connector that is right behind the glove box. very easy to do. i will get more wiring info from Marks. They are very good with emailing back within a business day.

Thanks for the info.

The one you linked to includes a harness for plug and play, no splicing required. The one pictured doesn't appear to be plug and play. Is this correct? I couldn't find any info on p/n MFC2820.
Thanks

you are correct. i emailed them a few weeks ago to try and figure out exactly what i had. they said all the boxes were pretty much the same.
yes the harness included requires a little more effort. the connector you see plugs into the box and its about 18-24" of wires with bare ends.

new years bump! price reduced. see first post.
