Hello everyone!

I have recently just purchased a 2000 LX470. I have retired my 1993 Jeep Cherokee and decided to take a leap up on me next rig.

So far an excellent purchase and I'm looking forward to becoming fanatical about it.

I'm sure I'll be asking some nub questions and what not so please bear that in mind.

Regards,

The Wheelermeister

Curious how come you changed away from the jeeps? How many miles did you have on it? Just something different?

Good luck

Well the Jeep hit about 270K miles. And it was beat up. I inherited it from my little brother when he joined the NAVY about 4 years ago. It was free and I just used it to and from work.

I always wanted to mod it but I never felt it was worth it. I was always fixing something on it.

I chose the hundy series after speaking with a co-worker who has an LX470 and a LX450. I started to do a bunch of research and fell in love. I was originally looking for a LC thinking the Lexus was out of my budget. But not much around where I was so I stumble on this 2000 LX470. It has 175K miles, as we all know just barely broken in :D , But the thing was in immaculate condition and completely stock other than the wheels and tires.

I got it from a dealer for around $12K , I was originally wanting to only spend $10k but with a limited selection in my area and the fact it is in such great shape I bit the bullet.

So far very happy with it. The only thing now it to figure out which direction do I go with it. Suburban Luxury or Off road warrior.

Congrats!

im not a big fan on low profile tires on the 100 series, But those wheel and tire combo look great!! almost factory looking.

Yeah, like I said I'm not sure what direction I want to go so I'll keep them till my indecisiveness wears off. They are not too flashy and are not crazy low.

They are MOMO's rims and the tires have a good amount of tread on them so unless I find something that I can't live without they are staying.
