Yup, something fishy is happening.

I didn't think I'd run into any trouble (I've said this before) after a simple upgrade of my turn signals and tail lights to LEDs. I also switched out the relay so I don't get the fast blinking.

The left signal works great.

The right signal has problems.
  • After I turn the signal off the ABS light on the dash comes on. It turns off again after I shut the truck off and stays off unless I use my right blinker.
  • When the right blinker is on I hear a second relay clicking that sounds like it's coming from under/near the center shifter.
  • The right signal blinks along with the tail lights on both sides (like the hazards are on).
I didn't splice any wires or see any corrosion or reason why things are shorting. It's a 99 that's lived it's life in CA and NV. I've switched it all back and still have the issues with right blink.er

Any thoughts here? It's driving me crazy!!!

LEDs have a different resistance than incandescent bulbs, its likely freaking out something in the older eclectic control modules. Try switching back to the old bulbs to confirm
