New Landcruiser

I have read several threads and seen some pics of the new Landcruiser, 130 series or something like that I think! I had heard in the past that they were posibley going to drop the Landcruiser altogether(don't think that will happen) does anyone have any new info on if we will have a new Cruiser in the U.S. and if so when.... i.e. 2007????????????????????????

If you look at those pictures, it says "artists impression" under them. Basically means that they didn't get those pictures from Toyota, or they got some pictures and modified them to what they thought the production vehicle would look like, just to have some pictures to put in the article.

In other words, I'd be surprised if it actually will look like that.

I don't care what it looks like, as long as it's reliable, has 3500 kg towing ability, V8 turbo diesel with power and torque to burn, 5 or 6 speed auto and hopefully a bit more carrying capacity in the weight dept ie. greater GVM

I was told by the dealer they would release the new fj first then change the 100 in 2007. They may not do both toyo and lex though. I wonder are they all made at the same plant? should be fun to see the new stuff.

Here it is tweaked a bit more with LC characteristics. One thing is that all LC's have unified greenhouse graphics (yes even the Prado) so maybe the Lexus version will have a more LC-characteristic greenhouse.

that bottom picture isn't too bad Firsttoy- I agree that it would be a shame to see them go away from the classic lines of the greenhouse.

Yeah, the bottom one is acceptable. The back quarter window is like that on the Prado, front kind of like the 100. Not really a entire new look like the 100 vs the 80.
