New Icon Coilovers weeping/leaking - is this OK?

Hi all.

About 6 months ago I installed some Icon extended travel coilovers on the GX470. Since then its seen only limited use - a couple of road trips and some around town driving - about 1500 miles. Yesterday I noticed the base of the drivers side coilover is weeping/leaking slightly. Its not a ton of oil but its not nothing either. Pictures below?

Is this normal or at least OK as they shocks settle/break in? I'd rather not disassemble and send the shock back to Icon and have the car out of commission for a couple of weeks unless I really have to..

Could it be transfer from your CV boot leaking?

Leaking shocks are not normal. Borrow some stock takeoffs and send them in for a rebuild.

Unfortunately its not grease from the CV boot.. Definitely dried and sticky shock oil.

Whats got me asking the question here is that the oil seems old and like the leak may have stopped.. Probably wishful thinking on my part!
