A few weeks ago, while I was away, :princess: had the LX down in MX (small town 6.5 hours SE of PHX) and had a guy there reupholster the leather for the front and middle row. He also did the center console, arm rests, head rests, steering wheel and transfer case shifter boot.
He even made some back seat covers to go under the car seats for the monkeys :bounce::bounce2:we carry around in the back. Colour match is really good and he does amazing work. Very nice soft, thick leather with a good texture. Lets just say it was an incredible deal!

Wow any contact info? Looks great

This is going to be the frustrating part. The town is called Nuevo Casas Grandes. Its a good 3 hours into Mexico in the state of Chihuahua. The problem is that in order to take your car there you need to get a vehicle pass. The intent of the pass is to stop people bringing US cars into MX and using them there indefinitely. The pass requires a $250 deposit, which you do get back, amount depends on the year of the vehicle, and you have to show your original title, in your name matching your passport at the border to get it. Pass is required for going any further that 100 km into MX. Sonoroa doesnt do this (at least for RP and San Carlos), but Chihuahua does.

Also, I gave him a head rest weeks before so he could source and colour match the leather.

The work took almost a week, so if you went down there to do it, you'd have to find somewhere to stay while you wait. Not a lot to do there without a cruiser....plenty of exploring if you have one.

PM if you are still seriously interested and maybe you can come down with us sometime.
Next trip is probably August.

Wow, turned out great! The good stuff doesnt come easily sometimes...
