Hello I'm the owner of a 94 FZJ and just picked up an 07GX. I've got leaky struts in the front. At some point I'm going to put a small lift on given the cost of OEM replacements. 2 " lift with the radflow setup sounds nice. I see some pictures with new upper control arms. Do the stock ones rub? Do you gain more travel with new ones? How much travel do you gain with a 2 to 3" lift? Also I have a little driveline thump, not bad enough to buy a new drive shaft. I'm aware of the tsb, but does it get worse with a lift? Any other issues that have popped up since the install? Thanks for any input!

The stock upper control arms don't rub, but the rubber boots/joints will fail prematurely due to not being designed for a lift, also extended travel coilovers require aftermarket upper control arms for alignment. The light racing UCAs are similar to OEM upper control arms but have adjustments in mind to a lift and are decently priced, I would go that route in your case.

I've got some overstocked Radflo 2.0 coilovers for the GX for a blowout deal of 700+ shipping if you're interested. I've been running this same setup on my truck for nearly 2 years and absolutely love it.

Sounds tempting Are you a dealer? I could install these with 0 lift for now until I convert the rear?

Yes we are a Radflo dealer and you can definitely install these with 0 lift. I think they come from the factory set to 2.5" of lift so you'll need to match them to the length of your oem coil/struts and you'll be pretty close. These particular ones I have in stock have the 650lb coil, so you'll be able to support more weight in the future should you decide to go that route.

Let me know.

Awesome Does that mean a more harsh ride with heavier springs. Just really want a good responsive ride to justify the cost. What's the number to call to get this rolling?

The 650 lb springs are the standard spring rate. It will give you a slightly firmer ride, but nothing to really complain about. The ride really stiffens up when you mess with the air bags in the rear by "tricking" them to inflate more for lift. This spring rate also helps to reduce the nose dive I'm sure you're familiar with under heavy braking. In fact, I've been contemplating for some time of upgrading my coils to 700lbs cause they are too cushy for my taste.

Call me at 225 384 5351. My name is Kevin. If we get this taken care of before 4pm, I can get them shipped out today.

Let me rephrase. It will still feel like a Lexus. I dont want you to think you'll be turning your truck into a racecar.
