Ok, lets try this again without inadvertently submitting it. I have been reading the forum for a while and recently joined. I have had an fj40 for about 3 years now and purchased a 94 fzj80 about a month ago. I have been reading a number of posts and have a few questions. Amsoil claims that you can go 25,000 miles or 1 year between oil changes with their syn oil. I have trouble swallowing that. Any feed back from you guys who use it would be great. The next ? I have is about a snorkle. I think they look cool, but could it have a tendancy to pack full of snow in a snowstorm? Maybe a dumb question, but I had to ask.

Welcome to the club! Check out the FAQ, you'll find lots of great info there - especially about oil. If in doubt, do a search for "oil" with posts by "cary." That should provide a week or two of reading.
Don't know much about a snorkle and snow, but somehow I don't think this would be a problem.
Also, check out the newbie section on sleeoffroad.com. Really great info. I've had my 80 for two years and still review it from time to time.

Change your oil every 7-8k miles with good filter and synthetic, but do not go 25k please... : )

I was also curious if the new iridium spark plugs make much difference?
I have the iridium plugs. I think i feel a little smoother idle and slight power imrovement. But that's a seat of the pants statement, no scientific data to back that up.
