Thank you very much for great pictures Lostmarbles! With these pictures it will be easy to make hook like the original. 
Biggest fabricating will propably be to make threaded holes to screw those bolts in. I propably need to cut a hole and weld in some piece that is thick enough to be threaded.
But before that i need to get that new drivers seat installed! It´s just wrong that passenger is sitting much more comfortable than the driver

Got the "new" drivers seat in.
It´s few centimeters higher than old seat was. It feels ok when i tested it, but i need to go and test drive to make sure i can fit my legs under the steering wheel while driving.
Really hope i dont have to change the original steering wheel for a smaller one!
(seat looks dirty in the picture, but it just got few wet spots from snow)

When i went to take measurements for the sparetire rack hook i realised that my tirecarrier is mounted too low. 
If i was to install the hook now i would need to bolt it to rear bumber insted the bar between bumber and reardoor.
This carrier was separate inside the car when i bought the car, but since it´s same colour as the car i was thinking it´s original for this car. There is plate inside the rear corner panel that has threaded holes to mounting the top most carrier mountplate. I drilled the top holes through this plate and made the bottom holes to fit the carrier when it was mounted to top holes.
Is there different size carriers, or is my carrier bent or...?
Not sure if i should do new holes higher and weld the ones i have now or just mount the hook to bumber? One way would be to cut the arm shorter, but i dont like on cutting original parts if i dont have to!

Went to see my sparetire rack and problem with its aligning. Rack doesnt look like its been bent and top plate is installed on its original place. Bottom plate i had to install to align with the top one since bottom part of sheet metal has been changed and there wasnt place for it. Has there been different size racks on different model years. This rack look like the ones i see on pictures of bj40 & fj40.

Could it be that your rack/carrier is correct for your BJ40 but that your problem is due to "dimensional inaccuracy" in your tub (and in particular in that "rear quarter panel" and "rear sill")?
(ie. Poor workmanship when those panels were made and/or fitted?)

Yes its definately possible, but when i look at the rear of the car i think that there must of had section cut off from the body to get this happen since the top mountplate is still inside the car lookin like it´s been there allways. Side panels bottom part have had welding done to them (and very poorly) reardoors have been welded allso and this bar between reardoor and "bumber bar" that is suppose to hold locking hook, has been welded as well. But i cant see how those could affect on the topmost rack mountingplate and if that is still where it should and body is same height as it should... I guess some of these things isnt what i think it is.

Coldest and darkest part of the winter is starting to turn towards the spring and i have been thinking what i should do to my rear fenders that are so bumby that they look allmost like potato field. Someone, someday have been welding new wheel arches on them and distorted the panels while doing it. I did find replacement panels, but with shipping they would cost me around 450€ witch is more than i think i want to spend at this time when i have a lot of other spending to do to other parts.
What are your experiences (and thoughts) on diamondplate over the fenders? I´m not a big fan, but i think it might look better than it does now? I allso though of fenderflares as an option(they would cover most of the rough spots), but i like more of the factory look(ok that diamondplate is not factory either) Do you guys have better ideas for temporary solution (might be a while before i have the funds to replace it properly?) Friend of mine said that offroad vehicle should look rough and used, but i´m not sure i aggree on that?

Thank you guys for the links! Making fenders from sheetmetal is definately an option.
Would anyone by any change have tracepattern of the panels with the measurements? I cant make my own patterns from my truck since PO made those panels from scratch and im not really sure theyre shaped as original.
I would allso need better welder to do this myself. Welder i have now is the cheapest one on the market about 20 years ago. It only takes corewire and doesnt have any other adjustments than two position switch for current.

Today i welded a bit of the rear floor, installed freshly painted bezel, did a bit of wiring fixes and took away my bullbar. Not sure if i like the front better with or without the bullbar, but will try to get used to the look without. We will see! I allso made a pattern for the rear 1/4 panels and will be making them myself when the weather gets a bit better for it.

Tonight i welded right side reardoor from where the lower hinge attach. I cut the piece from my old door so i didnt have to make threads in there, but had them allready in the piece.
It doesnt look pretty now, but its getting a bit of filler on top before paint.

Not anything that i havent posted in the "What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?" thread, but since you ask maybe i should update them in this thread too?Any updates?
I painted BJ to a temporary color to make it one color and to make it easier to keep it one color when welding and doing other stuff that messes the paint up. Unfortunately Rustic green isnt one of those colors you get from those 7€ ready made spray cans so i had to use another color, flat sand color. It actually looks quite good in this color too, but when (or if?) i get all the bodywork done to it i will paint it back to original rustic green.
I allso took the top and doors off and made a bikini top out of cheap tarp and couple of straps.
Other than that i have just kept adding diesel in the tank and oil to the engine and kept on driving...
and enjoying the summer!

Half doors would be nice addition, but i think i can survive without them? I'm driving without doors when its warm and when it gets colder i put the "full" doors on to keep wind in the cabin to a minimum.
You are only making me want one of these J4's too.. weather is finally (again) getting warmer, or even hot and all i got is my HJ which is like sauna on wheels.
