We have been working with a manufacture that makes these dash kits for classic cars to develop a kit for the FJ40 and FJ60.

The dash itself is an ABS plastic, available in a textured Black or Smooth Brushed Aluminum look. Many customers paint them to match their interior or leave them as is. You have your choice of White or Black Faced Gauges as well!

These start out as a stock dash, laser scanned into software that allows them to recreate the dash perfect for the Autometer gauges. Then, they are vacuum formed and CNC Laser cut to perfection! As you can see from the pics, the gauges are also recessed into the cluster for a VERY clean look!

Those that want/need warning lights can add LED bulbs to the cluster or anywhere you choose. Most commonly we see two Green for turn signals and one Blue for High Beams.

The dash will install using the same mounting holes as your stock unit.

We offer a complete harness kit as well. This will plug into your stock harness and use many of the signals already there and also includes LED's for the turn signals and high beams.

The Autometer gauges come with sending units. We have GPS speedo senders if you want to go that way instead. They are great as there is NO calibration!

We have also introduced a Fuel Level sending unit OHM modifier. The stock sending unit in the 73-87 FJ40 and FJ60 is a 17-120. Autometer does not make a gauge that reads that range so our unit will convert you to 33-240! This makes this a simple upgrade!

All gauges are electric so you will need to install the Oil and Temp sensors in the motor, wire up the dash and if you are still running a stock cable driven speedo, let me know and I will give you some options.

That is an awesome product. I do have one question/suggestion. Is there an speedometer tach combo with a more appropriate range for a 2F motor? I’m never above 3500 RPM and 80 MPH.

This is the only series that will fit the recessed dash and allow for stock mounting.

We had discussions about other gauges but wanted to retain the simple bolt-in properties of a kit.

Thanks,
Matt

Looks like a good product.

Need more pictures of the 60 series version. :)

And I'd swap the gauges so that the speedo is on the right just like the OEM configuration. It'd be cool if you could reconfigure the Oil/Temp/Fuel/Volts gauge to match the OEM orientation as well, but you are probably limited with the Auto Meter setup.

Plenty of real estate between the gauges for a normal tach, too.

I'd be interested in the 60 gauge pod setup as well.

I'd like a price for a 40, please.

No installed pics yet. I will get them mocked up in my 60 in the next few weeks I hope.

We are offering extra savings right now to those who want to get a kit and post pics.

It can be returned if you get it and don't like it. I think it's the actual cluster itself you guys are wondering about? I have been selling this brand over a decade now, they do many muscle car / truck kits.

Return rate is VERY low. It's a USA designed and made CNC cut piece, they are NICE!

Thanks for your patience
Matt

Is this something for the FJ40 and FJ60 only or FJ62's as well down the road?

For right now, just the 40 and 60. Depending on how well these sell, we will do a 62 cluster as well.

Thanks
Matt

Looks great actually.

I'll follow this thread to see if FJ62 gauge cluster comes to fruition!

And I wonder if you could have a 0-90 option on the speedo and 0-5000 on the tach. That would cover these beasts just fine.

Nice looking product. I would miss having the center tach on my 60.

There is currently no source for replacement FJ-60 instrument bezels. Would you please consider offering the bezel for the OEM gauges? Thank you.

Very nice and valuable feedback from potential customers. I agree a tach to 8000 is absurd on a stock 2f. And that center area on the 60 could be filled in with a vacuum gauge or other item to balance out the look.
