What size tires (larger of course) can you run with the OEM suspension without any problems?
31" tires are popular for stock suspension.... gives you a bit of overdrive without stretching it so much you loose ability to pull a grade. Some say 33" will fit with or without minor rubbing on full flex (depending on who you talk to), but that might make going to 4.11 gears necessary depending on your use.

Congrats on the buy! 17 MPG indicates a good running rig.

Congratulations. Very nice rig; super price! Watch the power steering pump for leakage. Check the top of the smog pump for fluid. this leakage over time usually makes the smog pump go south. Also if you want your headlight washers to work, make sure you have the light switch in the on position. Also the dash fuse handles the tail lights as well. One more important issue is the oil galley plug in the head near spark plug 5; it is a shabby, pressed-in part that should be removed and replaced, as it can go at any time. Believe me, I know first-hand! See galley plug thread in the 60/62 forum. N.M.

Congrats on the deal. I also spent about the same, but mine came with some rust issues...most of which will get sorted out. You might want to take the starter out and clean up the contacts so that it doesn't let you sit someplace.
