New FJ55 Owner (Hopefully)

Well I don't want to jinx myself since the check is enroute to the seller but I'm pretty damn excited about it! Looks like I'm the soon to be proud owner of a 1972 FJ55 and an '85 fj60 parts rig. Almost forgot I also bought an '89 FJ62 which will be the DD until I get the 55 at 100%. They all have one issue though that will hopefully get resolved over the next month or so, they're all in Tucson. Trip 1 is next weekend to get the 55 and 60 and replace the water pump on the 62. Trip 2 is sometime late February. I'll keep you all informed on progress and I'm also posting to establish a support network for my drive back since I know next to nothing on the 55 and not quite sure it will make it without some coazing! A big chance I know but I can't afford to ship three trucks!

there is nothing like a cruiser adventure. Hope you like it half as much as I like mine. If it is half as reliable as mine you could tow that 60 to Maine.

I hope so too! The plan is to keep this vehicle as long as possible and pass it off to the kids in about 10 years or so when it's ready for another rebuild!
