Was it from the cruiser mechanic on main street in Plymouth?? Blanking out on his name. From India originally

No, I don't think so.. I think the guy I bought it from was just flipping it... Said he bought it from his neighbor who I assume was the original owner... I don't know much of the vehicle history, yet...

I saw this truck. What are you going to do about the frame?

Is that the one that was in Yarmouth? Is the tub pretty solid? I saw that the driver's side frame rail needed some reinforcement. When you do this, you may just want to buy the frame plating kit from Rough Stuff Specialties.

That is the one.

Yes it was the one from Yarmouth, by way of Plymouth... I was actually going to ask here what is some ideas on fixing a frame with rot??? It appears the rot is mostly just on the drivers side rail, below the drivers door and also behind it... hard to tell because the whole thing is pretty scaley.. I am hoping I can fix it without haveing to replace the whole frame??? any suggestions??? Keep in mind this is my first FJ, but I am capableof turning a wrench and using a welder...

post up pics!! gotta buy a star....it'll be the best money you ever spent. any problem you have you can snap a pic of it, post it, and have an answer in minutes. Plus you can brag about your work!!!

Definitely need pics to see what you're dealing with

When you're done coat the inside of the frame rails with auto transmission fluid through a garden sprayer. Ruins the environment but saves the cruiser in New England. This whole "green" thing is a fad anyway....just like the internet.

LOL... Too funny John... I'll definatly remember that when I fix the frame... I was just looking at the Ruffstuff web site checking out the frame kit...

I've got some of the Ruffstuff products on my 40.
Beefy stuff. BTB also make a frame box kit.
