Haha, I was thinking about getting LX450 emblems and an LX grille, but decided against it cause I didn't want to go through the hassle/$$$$ of sourcing/changing out headlights and stuff.

Ahhhh, better pics. They were bigger and better looking, but I had to resize them...

#1- Rear
#2- Up close and personal

I am surprised that your truck even starts given that you have a HeeP 4.0 emblem on it.

Looks good, updated. You can see in the pics that there appears to be a line at the edge of where the original emblem was; is that like a ridge between the original clear coat/paint (under the emblem) and the old more weathered clear coat/paint? If so, could that be rubbed out to sort of feather the edge, or leave it alone?

Thanks. It took a while to do, something around 11am-8:30pm....about 7 hours total, including Goo Gone working time, but not including Thanksgiving dinner.

Yeah, there is a little ridge between the weathered and non-weathered paint. I tried for an hour to get that line off, but it won't go away...

Oh well. It doesn't really bother me, you can't see it any further than 6-7 feet. I might find me one of those buffer things that hoser posted.

Well a 3FE is 4 liters...

Wow, seven hours; wouldn't have guessed it; that original adhesive must be good. I think I saw some 3M adhesive remover; think I saw it at an O'Reillys, That buffer thingy might speed it up the process, never used one myself. My emblem is getting cracks in the plastic and was also thinking about doing something to it; good to know how, now that you did it. Thanks

Yeah, tell me about it....took over an hour just to get the emblem off. You should have seen the pile of floss and fishing line when I was done.
By the time I got it to the carwash, sunset had come and gone.

It probably would've helped...

Good to know that I helped someone. :D

Oh, and I don't have any pics of the emblem actually coming off... I was using my phone as a wedge. :hillbilly:
