New distributor and desmog

Hi all, I'm currently desmogging an '81 fj40 (carb rebuilt, etc). The distributor is done and I'd like to get a new one. That being said, given the desmog...what would be the best distributor to get? stock? or one that for a non-smogged truck? If it's the latter, where would I go to find one?

Unless your current distributor is fubared, just send it to Jim Chenoweth and he'll check it out and recurve it for the desmog.

It's F'ed, so I'm looking for a replacement, and given that I'm doing the desmog, I'm trying to figure out the best option for replacement, any thoughts?

Pick up a big cap from an FJ60 and send it to Jim for a recurve. That's what I did, and I'm very pleased with the result.
