It is definitely big. Can't wait to see some close ups. On another note Brian...I had no idea you had one of those sitting and ready to go into your 40. Love the idea and that engine.

Just drove it home before the holiday... Not really ready for the 40 yet. Need the w56 trans and the adapter, and the motor mounts, and etc. and so forth.. :)

Luke should have one for the h41 soon but if you do a w56 then dual cases are easy.
 
Drives pretty good, lots of little things wrong with it but for what I paid I can't expect more.

Needs 4 new tires, wonder where I can get those from :grinpimp:

Had a shake in the front suspension which i've tracked to a tie rod... should be good to go.

Just go to figure out the locking mechanism and the windows aswell as get a new AC condensor or this one welded up and I will most likely leave it alone for a while.

Does it have the goofy pneumatic locks and stuff? I was wondering what all these air hoses were all over the car when I first bought it. I thought I might have had lockers:hillbilly:

Yep, can't get the drivers door to lock. It will if i'm in side the car but not from the outside :doh:
 
Alright Brian, cards on the table how much did you pay for that?
 
I spent a whopping $800 on it. Hoping to sell some of the parts (tranmission, rear windshield, axles/wheels, etc.) to recoup some of the purchase price.

You know I was on Marlin's website and was debating on the dual case. It's going to be a daily driver, planning on just having AT's and the 3.73's. But, if I was going to do it, I'd rather figure that into the planning and not have to go back in and cut new holes in the transmission cover ... decisions, decisions...

Dual case it....... even a DD can have some bling factor to it. :grinpimp:

Mine was $1000 but I can't recoup anything since i'm going to drive it for a while and no one makes an adapter yet. The car weighs about 5000lbs and that engine moves it fine.

I don't think there is anything off of the older SD that will work in the SDL but if there is i'll give you a call, maybe the vacuum lines for the doors.

why??? when you talk about doing a dual case it doesn't effect driveability till you are on the trail. This way it is a DD with some awesome trail capability.
3.70's to 4.10's aren't going to feel any different when you are talking dual cases.

I actually saw that topic somewhere and possible fixes when I was researching adding keyless entry, I'll see if I can find it again in the interwebz.
