Putting in my new dash, all gauges are 12v VDO electronic gauges. I am running a 10 amp 24 v to 12 v converter (my truck is a 1979 BJ40) for powering these gauges and later on a radio.
My problem is that I need a continous 12v power supply for my radio presets, clock etc. but also a 12v power feed wich is cut of when the contact switch is turned off.
Can I use 24v to activate the coil in the relay and then have 12v run through the 85/86 terminal of the relay?
