Help!!!!
Just installed new clutch and it is slipping
Flywheel was ok and I made sure it was clean
Used clutch and pressure plate for 6 cyl 4.2. I was told it
should work.
Anyone run into this before?
Thanks
Marco

Sounds like you need to adjust the clutch fork rod that is connected to the clutch pedal lever situated under the dash , as above. Most cruisers I have worked on have had a 1inch free play in the pedal. You can actually fine tune this adjustment to suit if you like an early clutch release or have it disengage when the pedal is further out.
When fitting a new clutch you should have the flywheel milled to ensure better contact [without this you will not get warranty]. This removes any high spots and glazed areas ensuring it is a perfectly flat surface. I posted up the adjustment from the hj60/HJ75 Body manual quite some time back.
Cheers

Thanks. Will have a look at this tomorrow
Happy trails

You used a 1HZ clutch on a 13BT? Im wondering if this is the problem. If the clutch mechanism was out of adjustment that much ,surely you would have noticed it?

Did you machine the flywheel, it have the correct +0.5mm profile? Clutch plate in the right way? Wont work to well if it is in backwards. Get under your vehicle and grab your clutch fork, is it "loose" or "firm" if loose your adjustment should not be prematurly activating the clutch. Release bearing fitted properly? If not fully seated or the carrier done wrong can give issues too.
