I recently replaced the suspension, including the lower ball joints. I noticed when the wheel is turned the lower ball joint boots turn also and looked a little twisted, like they are maybe stressed. I haven't ever seen this on other cars I have had. Maybe its the way that the sealed boots work, it provides a secure seal being locked in place? Could anyone out there check theirs and let me know if they are twisting when the wheel is turned? I don't want to rip a new ball joint boot.

I sure the boot is NOT supposed to rotate with the turning knuckle. Did you make sure there was grease on the sealing and rotating surfaces of the boot before you installed the tapered pin in the knuckle? If not, maybe you can lift away the edge and smear a little grease in there or just "massage" the boot a little to squish some grease into position.

Did not grease it, I will try that. Thanks. I have a feeling its fixed in place though.
