New alignment completed after Lexus Alignment comparison (1 Viewer)

Long story short sort of.
I got a great deal on a 2022 GX460 dealer was sitting on for a while. 1st test drive I complained about the steering being messed up. (too much input to the left to keep it straight on certain roads) 2nd test drive still not happy but hoped it was just a bad alignment as the dealers sheet shows clearly a "TOE & GO" was done.
I'm blessed to have a real alignment shop in my neighbor hood and they just completed it.
So far I can now tell I have to put more input vs other vehicles, But now its both ways not just to the left. Ill have to drive it some more as I'm only a 1/4 mile from there shop.

Please look at the sheets and let me know your thoughts as I may have Lexus pay for this if it corrected the issue.

Has it been in an accident? Clean carfax?

Have tires been inspected and rotated?

whoever is doing the alignment is a clown. where's the caster numbers?
looks like they slapped it on the machine, didn't sweep/calibrate and adjusted toe.
truck is ifs and has plenty to align.
make them do it right. or better yet, make them pay someone that actually knows wtf they're doing.

Clean car fax, tires are good. My alignment shop told me once the tire wear in it's hard to correct that after the alignments been corrected. The steering is alot better afterwards. I need to play with the tire pressure now.

The dealership obviously didn't do s*** on the alignment and I will be sending a bill to the used sales manager kindly asking for reimbursement. I took it to my local alignments only shop (top pic) you can clearly see the difference in all the numbers.

there's still no caster numbers.
too much caster can cause the heavy steering feel you're describing.
like i said, i wouldn't trust anyone not doing/showing all the specs.

Toyota ifs trucks are quite literally one of the easiest vehicles to adjust alignment on.

I feel like my 460 and old 470 always had steering quirks. They both feel like they're out of alignment on some roads and then laser straight on others. My current 460 will want to drift right certain roads and I find myself having to hold the wheel wheel to the left well past center. Just depends on the road.

Oh I did not and took it to a family run alignment only shop. Steers alot better, I need to get used to high profile tires again.

Yes mine is the same if the road is crowned to the right I need to add some to the left. I believe it has to do with the high profile tires and the way the sway bar system operates.

Mine is great. No wandering unless cross winds are over 30 mph.

Do you have a 4x4 shop that has an alignment machine? They should know what they're doing. I'd run the caster all the way up to, and beyond, the upper spec.

Yes and they use there own numbers as you can see "customized". Family owed for 30 + years.

For referrence, I'm at 5.8 degrees L and R for caster. Partly because I have aftermarket UCA's which build in postive caster, and I asked the alignment shop to rotate the lower control arms forward as much as possible to center the wheel in the well to avoid rubbing, which adds caster as well. No complaints on how it drives.

With a higher profile tire, if you run them at the recommended PSI or even a little lower, you'll have a wee bit smoother ride also.
