Just bought a D4-D 2020 LC VX-R (same as Australian Sahara/top of the line trim), off course I can never leave it well enough and now begin to list down urgent and not so urgent mods I am going to do, please let me know if I miss anything and please enlighten me with your knowledge.

- EGR de activation by ECU flash
- EGR blanking plate
- Provent/Mishimoto PCV oil catch can
- EC Offroad Carplay/Android Auto module
- EC Offroad video in motion bypass
- 20” Volkracing/Ray’s rims with BFG KO2 285/55 R20 (any rubbing issue?)
- 2 cm spacer on each wheel (Is it safe to do so?)
- Audio: is there any way I can upgrade the JBL Synthesis? I have custom install audio with Focal Utopia M line on my 2005 LC100 so the JBL Synthesis really sound bad in comparison

obviously it will be an interstate cruiser for my regular trip between Jakarta-Bali and back, no serious off-roading.

thanks for the suggestions and comments folks!

cheers!

If I do EGR delete by ECU flash, would the dealer catch it immediately on next service? Have concern about warranty and if this is the case then I’ll just use Unichip EGR delete module.

The truck just got delivered today @ 6:30 PM, I am a happy man.... here is a photo of the cluster with only delivery miles on it, will post some more pics when the sun is up. It’s a Japanese spec so its got the 20” wheel that much coveted in the US and yes it’s got the mighty 1VD-FTV twin turbo, I love the power.

You will most likely get a CEL on so yes the dealer will know immediately, and even if you replace the valve a code will remain in the ECU. Furthermore why both, the EGR systems of today are not like those of the first attempts back in the '70's or '80's. While we don't get the diesel over here (Trumpville) and thus no specific experience, most EGR systems are well controlled and when active aren't impeding on required power.

It’s gonna be an ECU reprogram To tell the ECU to not open the EGR valve, not a block plate only so there will be no CEL. For me it’s not about the power, it’s about longevity of the engine. When idling EGR valve is always open sucking dirty exhaust gas and in Indonesia idling in the middle of traffic jam happens a lot.
