That's funny you should ask. I got sick of messing with it and after being at the dealship 3 times (2 different dealers) i was pretty frustrated. I then ran the self check you mentioned and it kicked out a bunch of errors. The dealers reported that it worked fine. I don't even know if they did the self check.
I put off doing anything, then i forgot about it! My wife drives it anyway and she never complained as long as it was on auto.
Then i drive it a month ago and it seemed to work as it should, like it fixed the problem without my help.
All very odd and frustrating. It's been a great truck other than that. I'm looking for an 80 now myself!
