Hello all,

Well, after combing through every automotive website and constantly hitting refresh on my browser for seemingly months, I finally pulled the trigger on my first 200. Her name is Gertrude and I will be her 2nd owner. She has been babied, garaged, and is ready to grow 2-3" in height, wear bigger shoes, and maybe even have some plastic surgery with a face and butt modifications. She arrived here in my beloved USA on 8/13. She is a '13 edition with only 61k miles and is Toyota certified. I hate to admit I paid for her, but she was a good deal for $43,890. Her skin tone is Magnetic Gray with sexy black lingerie underneath. Admittedly, I am smitten by her and feel that this marriage will last a long time. Without further ado.....

Looks like you found a gem, Paul!

I'll look forward to hr reconstructive surgery... :hillbilly:

Congrats! Is your rig pearl white by any chance? I think I remember seeing one in TN that color. I can't wait to see pics with the new shoes. What size did you go? Shoes will be my first modification as well along with removing the running boards and installing slides.

Thanks Markuson, a gem is def what I found. I feel confident her surgery will yield great results and can only hope she looks as good as your rig when she heals :)

On the way!I got a gray 2014, went to several dealers and always just missed... I heard oh we just sold it yesterday. I was actually on a test drive at autonation and when we got back we asked to write something up. After waiting for them to come back as we sat in what we thought would be our new cruiser they came back and told us the car was sold online to someone in North Carolina while we were on the test drive. As you know inventory is slim so we broadened our search to nationwide. I found one in Tennessee with 1100 miles, yes not a type O 1100. I did pay a lot 60k,but the cruiser is virtually brand new. It had the original sticker in the glove box 81,695 it also had the factory all, weather mats throughout. Some lady bought it for her second home and rarely was ever there. So we had it shipped and now we are in the club. We wanted something 4 wheel drive and able to tow my travel trailer and have had a sequoia for 10 years. The morning after it arrived I was at the tire shop... new 275/70/18r bfg ko2's, now she is starting to look like something. This forum is gonna end up making me spend a lot!

"Just missed" is exactly how my experience has been as well. I can't believe the one you just test drove sold while you were there at the dealership, that's crazy! These rigs sell like hot cakes and certainly it's almost a matter of luck when trying to find and buy one. I must say that in my humble opinion, $60k is a bargain for your rig as it's essentially a "demo" vehicle and like new condition that you purchased for $21k off of the sticker. With only 1100 miles, it's even better than a demo vehicle as they typically have several thousand miles. You let the lady take the hit, and benefited from her absence away from home. Fine job Sir, a fine job indeed. Oh, did I mention that I love the color :)

Thanks, was originally looking for a white one but really started liking the grey ones after looking. The one that got snatched on our test drive was also grey. Yes they do sell quick to find one local is like finding a unicorn! Look forward to see your future pictures

Great color Paul - congrats !

Congrats, on your new ride... she sure is purdy...

Looks great! Congratulations.

Paul, you wouldn't happen to be the same Paul as PaulLR3 on the Land Rover forum, would you?

No, that's not me. But, thanks for the kind words :)

Glad you were able to find a good one. Sounds like you got a great deal!

Thanks, I think it is. Finding a good deal on a LC is very tough to do and requires patience which I don't have lol.

Congrat! Fantastic find and for sure you will love it more than the sequoia, the refinement is way better! Get ready to bleed your pocket book as the guys right here tend to make you spent a lot more than you need!
