New '15 vs '16 LC?

Greetings all! New poster here. Have been lurking for a little bit, but this is my first post.

I'm considering buying a new LC over the next week or so, and struggling to decide between a new '15 and '16. The price differential between the two is marginal - as either would be purchased at around invoice. I prefer the look of the '16 and *think* I might prefer its 8 speed auto (as I'll be doing a fair amount of commuting in the vehicle), but also fear the fancy additional electronics will prove more of a hassle in the long run (e.g. new camera tech, the silly video panels attached to the front seats etc.)

So, I'm curious as to whether anyone here would choose a '15 over a '16 (money aside), or whether the '16 is really the no-brainer. I do prefer my vehicles to be simple and non-flashy, and the '16 isn't quite as simple as a '15 and a tiny bit more flashy, though of course not as "bling" or flashy as an LX570 or Range Rover....

I haven't been able to find any real real world comparisons between the '15 and '16 but would assume they drive/handle/feel pretty much identical, transmission aside....

If the price were the same I would take the 16 forsure! The 8 speed tranny would be super nice! The birds eye view on the screen would come in handy offroading, parking etc. But the biggest improvement in my opinion is the controls(diff lock, heated steering wheel etc) being moved to the center console were they belong... Although the changes are minimal I think if the price is about the same I would go for the 16 forsure!

16 or 15? 16 for sure. No downside to the 16 over the 15. It's still a 200...so not like its a huge change, but none of the changes were a backward change...and the only thing I've heard people gripe over were strictly cosmetic...which matters not one wit beyond personal preference. Like K said...center console handled better in 16. I agree.

I'm still not a fan of the aesthetics of the '16, but it will probably grow on me at some point (although I can't imagine more than the '13-15). I greatly dislike the rear entertainment setup. That said, any updates to the head unit and other electronics, as well as the 8-speed transmission probably make going for the '16 worth it.

I was thinking the big screens in back were only standard in the LX...not the LC. If standard, then ya. Who wants two massive screens on the back of chairs...only to get screwed up when cramming gear in there with seats folded down...

At this point I like '13-15 most. I'm sure the '16 will grow on me. The interior changes are nice. Just pick the one that fancies you the most. Can't go wrong.

I have bought the 16 and love everything about it minus nav, entertainment which seems years behind competition. As an example Nav screen resolution is terrible, nav screen is not smooth when in motion and there is no HDD to store music. Maybe I am spoiled by BMW system. Beside that, everything is great. Leather seats are ultra nice, heated steering wheel, auto heated and cooled seats, all safety features are cool too. LED headlights/fogs are exceptional, breaks very responsive. Cameras are nice too (views, 360 etc.. - wish resolution was better). The only upgrades I have made so far is converting left over lights to LEDs (turn signals, reverse and license plate). Every other light inside and outside is LED already. 16 is no brainer if cost not an issue. Invoice price is at least $3-5K higher than 15 and I am sure you can find some exceptional deals way under invoice on 15. With a little work on 16 you can get a great deal too. I have bought for $1000 over invoice which I consider good since I got on of the first landing in US.
