Just picked up this 100 series in Utah and drove it back to IL. No rust on this beast! Runs great too! Not planning on daily driving this, more for road trips and such.

I did check the spark plugs and had two loose on the driver side. Still has an exhaust tick also. Remedied the plugs, will mess with the header later. Needs some little things like interior switch lights. I am going to start base lining all the fluids this weekend. I know the timing belt was done 45k ago.

Main issue is tire rub on the passenger side only. Why is this tire close to the fender than the other side? I am thinking it needs an alignment? I do believe there are some thick spacers on here too, should I ditch those? It has 275 70R18 KO2s on it. Not sure what brand/model these wheels are either. Thoughts?

Best I can measure is the passenger tire is 1/4 - 3/8" closer to the rear of the wheel well than the driver side.

Yes the alignment is probably off. Ditch the spacers if you can, they might be on there because the wheels are not meant to fit the 100 specifically. If that’s the case I highly recommend getting proper wheels that fit the 100 and have correct offset.

Removing the spacers would certainly alleviate the rubbing. If you like the spacers and want to wheel it, then do some level of heating the fender liner and/or clearancing/cutting it and/or pinch weld mod.

Awesome. I'm getting it aligned Monday or tuesday. I am having the tires balanced today, I'll ask about removing the spacers.

I was driving just now, and felt a rumbling/clunking from the front for a bit, anything to look for or just road harmonics?

The wheels appear to be Vision Nemesis in 18" size. I don't think those fit this vehicle.

Any good wheel recommendations? It'll be a while until I replace, but good to get an idea of what I want now.

Remove spacers first. Vibrations and drive characteristics can improve immediately. Tires look almost worn. Don’t waste money on rebalance just yet.

Okay, pic is deceiving...

Yeah, I just drove through the muddy gravel drive to get around to the barn. I'll yank the spacers and see what happens.

Found the specs. +18 offset (which on its own is getting up there for a 100 series). If you have the commonly available 1.25"/32mm spacers that's -14 offset. Which is a ton. And they're 39# per wheel, holy crap! FYI that size tire fits a stock wheel with zero issues.

17" offers the most tire selection by far and as a result are usually more cost effective as well. They also offer better ride quality. Keep the offset to no more than 25mm and make sure they fit the 100 series specifically.

That's all stock on the front hub, no spacers. your wheels are both too wide and wrong offset.

That's good you don't have spacers. +18 is a lot IMO, but doable. Try to heat up and bend the plastic where it's making contact. If that's not enough you'll have to flatten the pinch welds behind the plastic as well.

I am just going to get correct wheels and new tires I guess. Might as well do it right.

I am thinking bronze. Any suggestions on brand? Thanks!

Those are nice!

Would the stock wheels part number 4261160A50 from a newer land cruiser work? I found a set cheap, i could swap the tires over until I wear them out, then get new wheels.
