What's up guys,

Sorry I've missed the last two meetings, things are a little crazy right now. Anyway, I made a run up to NJ last weekend and on my way back the check engine light came on. Two minutes later my oil light flashed on and off. I pulled over and check the oil. I was a little low so I added a quart. The truck road pretty s***ty all the way back to MD (tons of vibration). I've had it parked ever since. Now that I think about it, I burn about a quart of oil every 1k with no oil leaks (118k miles). I'm going to bring it to a dealer b/c I don't have a clue as to what's wrong with it (valves maybe?).

I'd like to head into the dealer armed with a few ideas as to what's going on so that I don't look like a complete shmuck. Any thoughts?

The lights came on for a reason - scan the codes to see why.

you can always follow the directions on the 3FE lists files page at yahoo groups. You just jump two terminals on the computer box on the firewall and count how many times the check engine light flashes.

Thanks,

The light went off yesterday but the truck is still running poorly. I think the codes are still stored for a while even though the light goes off so I'll bring it to autozone...i think there's one right on Georgia Ave. Anyway, thanks guys...see you soon.
