I had to move an awning pole awhile back for some underground utilities work. I cut it off and dug out the footing. I am now ready to put the pole back up. I am looking for ~3 foot of 3" square tube, 1/4" diameter to weld back on. All the local Tucson places either don't stock it or want me to buy 10'. The local scrap guys are not that useful either.

Any of you packrats have something hiding in your scrap pile I can buy from you?
 
I told you Santa Rita steel. Just south of Wheel Equipment. They have always sold me what I want by the foot.

Thanks for the responses. If I can't get it cheap locally, I may hit up one of you Phoenix guys and come up for one of the monthly meets to pick it up. I haven't done that in awhile. I am not in a hurry as once I get this pole back up I will be laying about 500sqft of pavers, so my knees and back are not in a hurry.


And Alvin, if Santa Rita Steel stocked the dimension I need I would have bought it from them, you jackass. :D
 
Ross, the only 3x3 I have is 1/8" and only 25" long. The closest after that is 2 1/2 x 3/16 square.

I'm not in a big hurry as I am not excited to lay out 500sqft of pavers. :lol:
