Lookin for tires for my dodge 2500 pretty much my daily. Wanna mud terrain that wears decent. I know that can be pretty much impossible but just want some input i really want a directional tire mostly for looks but keep on goin back to the bfg km2. Sposed to be really streetable mt's. any input would help thanks guys

I have the KM2's on my Landcruiser. I have used it as my DD for about the last year. It's a very street able MT and even better off road. Toyo's MT is also decent but it has really soft rubber so they wear down pretty quickly on the street.

Thanks for the input! Yah i know quite a few people runnin the toyo's and for the money they wear really fast. I thought you were runnin those but couldnt remember for sure and glad to hear you like em cause im really leanin towards those. . . Granted my truck is a lil heavier than the cruiser lol. It finally came down to those or the goodyear w/kevlar and i just keep leanin towards km2. What size are you runnin? Im lookin at 35x12.50-17.

Yeah, I run 35's. my LC is 6500+ lbs. That's pretty heavy. I've had the vehicle for over 3 years now and have put well over 20,000 miles on them, over both street and Offroad conditions. I still have over 40% tread on them. I can't really complain about them at all. And for a pretty aggressive MT, they really don't have very bad road noise either. If I went with another tire it would probably be the Duratracs, which are essentially an aggressive AT. They get really good reviews though.

Another good tire that I ran was the Cooper STT. Great tire.

Yah i ran the older MTRs on my K-5 and liked those alot too. Ive never ran any kind of bfg so im thinkin ill give the KM2s a shot. Keep hearin nothin but good things about em. Was kinda hopin somebody would have some feedback on the maxxis trepador cause they have good reviews or the pro comp x-terrain but all i hear is those x-terrains suck. Thanks for the input fellas

The new mtrs are supposed to be the poop for our nw off roading. They even preform better than the bfg krawlers. I just bought a set also.

Yah the MTRs are my choice, can you tell!

What are the reviews on the tire

Those are pretty good tires and got pretty good reviews. Saw them at Les Schwab. From what I understand, they only come in a few wheel sizes. Seems to be the only real downfall.

From what ive found they are a really soft compound and dont hold up on the road very long with heavier full sized rigs

The Toyo's are the same way. Really soft rubber which makes the great off road, but also makes them wear faster on the asphalt, especially under heavier vehicles.
