Anyone local with a pair of Aisins, let me know. I'm in the market. Hell I'll take a pair of Warn's in the interem, until I can score sme Aisins.

They posted Sat night and sold before I ever saw them.

I have a pair of hub bodies off the burned 45 that I'm using with what was left of my blown one to make a useable hub to put back on the truck. I still need a pair of Aisins though.

FYI Aisin hub search

Here's a reply I got from cruiserparts.net. I'm not sure what he's talking about, I thought if you had fine spline birfs the solid axle mini truck aisin hub would work.

Hi,
In order to use the Aisan hubs you would need to switch out your birfield
for the newer style. 79-90 type.

Aisan hubs are $50 each
The newer birfields are $50 each

the mini birfs are a tiny bit shorter than cruiser, just enough that the circlip wont go on. so,,, putting mini aisin's/asco's on a cruiser should need a small spacer to take up the tiny gap. i havent put mini hubs on a cruiser birf, but i have put a mini birf on cruiser hubs so if its fine spline it'll fit just need a little spacer mod

Bman, I scored a set today from Tim Hill. He had two sets, a long and a short  . The long set is suppposed to be a direct replacement for the Warns and still use the snap ring. The short pair are the regular mini truck style.
I snagged the long set. He still has the other pair if you want them. They are a bit beat on the edges, probably from sticky cone washers. $150.

As I understand it now, the mini's hub can only be used with a mini birf. And a mini birf is compatible with the Warn hub using the fender washer and bolt in the end.

I'm working a trade on a set of 60 series Aisins right now and I also found another pair for $85 plus the ride, so I'll probably wait to talk to Tim. I also have a Warn put together to replace the one I toasted. Although not the optimum set up, as I have recently found out, this will get me by until I get the Aisins. I have a Mini birf and a long LC birf right now so the Warns are what I actually need to keep everything where it's at. I need to do the Mini conversion to the driver side before installing the Aisins I guess. Are 60 Series Aisins the same as Mini or are they for longer birfs?

I'm not sure on that. Maybe the longer set I got from Tim came from a 60?
Or they could be an interim production model used for the 40 when they decided to do their own hubs for the US market.

Anyhow I figure I'll still be able to use either hub when I make the switch to a Longfield or something else.
