Hi, my friends, it is been a long time. my 04 LC100 ran very well last couple of years until today, the serpentine belt was off while I drove on the street, and of course, I lost power steering after that, then I called AAA and towed it back home.
I got some questions need your help to figure out, thanks in advance. The context is my LC100 got timing belt replaced 4 yrs ago, the alternator, idler pully, tensioner pully were replaced as while at that time, and only been driven about 10000 miles after that.

1. I am thinking of replacing the fan bracket, fan pully and serpentine belt, what else do you think should be replaced too for safety?
2. I don't need to replace the water pump or worry about overheating, right? (seems our water pump is separated from fan very well)
3. What could be the cause of the broken fan bracket? The only concern in my mind is my AC pump or power steering pump since only those two pulleys did not been replaced, but both of them can be rotated by hand very well, the AC clutch has a little resistant but still can be manually rotated with a little effort...

>> Fan bracket is a pretty involved job and brings you in far enough that you can consider another timing belt along with other parts in there. 4 years ago, how many miles since you did Tbelt and pump? Did they also replace the timing tensioner and idler? OR did you just replace the serpentine belt tensioner and idler?

2. I don't need to replace the water pump or worry about overheating, right? (seems our water pump is separated from fan very well)
>> Yeah water pump is driven off the timing belt and unless its leaking or you having cooling issues it should be OK

>> It's not too uncommon to hear of a wobbly or noisy fan bracket. Chances are yours was crying out for help for a while and eventually let go. Your AC and PS pulley shouldn't have any effect on why the fan bracket broke

What you do from here will be a balancing act of time and budget. At a minimum, fix what broke....If you have some extra cash repair whatever else is worn out as you're getting the bracket repaired.

Thanks for the help, yes, the shop did replace my timing tensioner and idler at the time, and this work was done when the car had 170000 miles on it.
I heard the noise from somewhere before but I am not sure where until today, I got to be the fan bracket, I start to hear that noise about 3 months ago...
