Need new left side upper control arm and much more. Should I upgrade to aftermarket units for both?

To most of the mechanic they will tell you upper control arms is not serviceable, but it is. You can replace the bushings as well as the ball joints. I do carry the upper and lower control arm ball joints for 100 series by Japan Sankei Industries 555. With some tools, you can actually replace them in your drive way

You bearings were super loose!! Glad you catch it in time one of the lock nut save you and your wheel didn't fall off!
