Is it beneficial to chop out the cat and either install bigger one, or straight pipe it for more 3.0 liter power?
I have no emmissions where I live.
Also, how can I adjust my clutch engagement point on my 94 4runner? My clutch pedal seems to raise off the floor about 3 inches before it engages.
Thanks in advance.

You DO have emmissions where you live - it's against federal laws to remove your cat. And no, it will not help improve your power or performance.

As for the clutch, just adjust the rod that connects the clutch pedal to the MC.

Everything I've read says the cost/benefit ratio on 3.0 mods doesn't pay off. Headers, throttle bodies, etc are incremental gains and $$$.

Live with it or go w/ a 4.3 cheby or 3.4 toyota swap. I do. I also wouldn't go forced induction on a 3.0 given the headgaskets. And mine seems lean in the #6 cylinder based on the plugs.

I have a buddie who got a whopping 15 hp on the dyno by running a 3 inch exaust on a 3.0 but for the life of me I cant remember if he threw on a high flow cat, seems to me that he must have. Also seems to me that its a lot of work and money for a little bit of payout.

i built a 3.0 for my truck and it runs great i'm more than happy with the power and all i did was had a 3 angle valve job done on the heads, installed a set of headers and custom dual exhaust, and a MSD 6AL box with the MSD Blaster2 coil this thing will smoke my 35's if i dump the clutch!! in my opinion there is alot of power to be had in a 3.0 but no one wants to take the time to try to find it.. and BTW putting headers on your 3.0 will almost eliminate the head gasket problem because it gets rid of that crappy exhaust manifold dumping the right bank exhaust into the left bank manifold creating excessive heat on the #6 cyl. make any cents??? lol

yeah you better watch out if you cut out your cat!! A fed will show up at your door and take away your birthday!!! lol J/K
If you wanna improve your exhaust, buy a set of headers and a high flow cat and have a custom 2.5" or 3" exhaust made trust me you will notice a difference I did and so did my friend
