Need help with my FJ40/Mechanic in Chicago

Ok everyone, I'm not going to trade this truck. I know it seemed like I was uninterested in learning to fix stuff in the beginning, but now I really do want to learn. And I have very little knowledge (obviously) but I'm on this forum to learn, not to be belittled by everyone :)

I do appreciate the help, so please keep it coming.

I talked to the previous owner, and yes the amp is hooked up directly to the battery, I have yet to check if that fuse is blown. I will do that soon.

But NO TRADES!!! I love the truck, and it's growing on my parents

Hmm, I actually came on this forum TO be belittled by everyone:D!

Too late for the trade anyway... I'm a 4Runner owner now. The 80 is gone. :p[/QUOTE]

Rob,

Did you really sell the 80? I hope you pulled your parts off prior to the sale, especially the winch, bumper, air compressor,etc....

Nope, it was all part of the deal. The only thing I was a little sad about was the York. You can't really get an even trade on a vehicle 5 years newer with 100k less miles and a perfect body/interior without giving up something. Anyway, the runner will be a DD/family truck and I'll see about another wheeler down the line. I just found out today that I have some major expenses coming up so the 4wheelin is taking a back burner. I'll still be on here and still come out as often as I can to the events and wrench days.. only difference is I'll have to ride shotgun and be a spotter. :)

Our buggy is not yet finished and is quite different from car. lol

I will eventually post pictures, but right now it's just a frame...and engine...and a bunch of parts waiting to go on. After I finish applying to colleges, I will get going on that project again.
