I need the speaker and amplifier wiring schematics showing the color codes for each wire and what they are. Is that available anywhere? I've searched here and google, but haven't found anything!

THANKS!

thanks. i've seen that, and was going to use it when i put in the aftermarket amp.

i was looking for the wiring colors/polarities for the speakers, but i think i found my answer. on crutchfield.com, you can order speaker wire clips for the UZJ's. looking at them, they have the positive wire on the side of the clip that has the "blade" gooved in it. that's all i needed to know to wire them up correctly.

now that i have that info and the diagram of the amp, i should be able to do everything else.

what does the clip at the subs look like? same as the door speakers? i'll be cutting the OEM sub enclosure area where the two 4's are currently mounted, doing some plating there w/ some HDPE plastic sheet, then mounting a 8" square Kicker Solobaric sub - all hopefully behind the OEM grill to hide everything. i'll stuff the enclosure w/ polyfill before sealing it up, and i may coat it in fiberglass if i think it's too flimsy to produce good bass w/ the 8 in there.

i already have the two front doors done. i had to cut out the existig magnet/cone from the basket and then reuse the basket as a trim piece. i soldered wire from the OEM clip to the tabs on the new speaker. the speakers are Polk DB675's (6.75" two-ways) and they fit PERFECTLY. this afternoon, i'll tackle the rear doors and might get the mid/highs amp wired up - but that's a stretch.

the ONLY issue i had last night that i couldn't overcome was getting the door panels off. i got everything, including the bolt under the window controls, but i couldn't get the door handle (the lever that you pull to open from the inside) to come off the door. what's the trick to that?

Those door handle trim pieces are a pain in the a$$ at first. On the left side above the actual locking mechanism there are two clips, one on top one on the bottom. I used a flat head screwdriver to lift the clip up and then pull out the trim piece. Tough to explain that's for sure.

Obviously you also need to take out the screw in the middle of the trim piece behind the little hinged cover but i'm sure you got that.

yeah, i got the screw... i'll have to take a closer look w/ a flashlight and see how the clips work.

any pics of one that's already off?
