I've had a left blinker that when turned on fires really rapidly, tick, tick tick, as opposed to the tick---tick----tick. mechanic said it was just the bulb. replaced and worked for a little bit, then went back to fast blinking. that was a while ago. bulb got replaced again this past friday, and fast blinking issue went away. BUT....in the middle of last night the hazard lights came on by themselves and won't shut off. nothing I've tried gets them to turn off. leaving for a trip tonight and could use some suggestions. I've disconnected the battery but hazards still on. any ideas?

thx guys

Steve

No battery and the hazard lights are still flashing? Sounds like a capacitor in the hazard circuit...wasn't aware of it though. You don't, by chance, have a trailer connected via a 7-pin (charge wire) where you could be getting back current?

sorry, should have clarified. disconnected the battery multiple times and reconnected. when reconnected, the hazards are still on. making some progress as I was able to get the hazards to turn off while the car is started, but the moment I turn the car off, the hazards come on. pressing the hazard button on or off has no effect. no trailer connected.

A little out of my element here but here's the EWD page for the turns/hazard circuit. I would guess your problem is either with the switch on the dash or the blinker module? When the hazards are "on" as you say...are they blinking per normal or just static on?
