As the title says making rings out of 1/2 inch MDF probably isnt supposed to be this hard. Are any of yall decent at cutting stuff out? Im using a big Dremel with a cutting bit and a depth adjuster set at the proper depth. The cutter is walking all over and my circles look like crap. Ive got plenty of MDF if anyone can me out.

:bang:

Save yourself the trouble and go buy some at a stereo shop. That's what I did.

Tried that. None of the ones I went to either didnt have any made or they would make some for an outrageous price. I just ordered the Dremel circle cutter attachment off Amazon. Should make it nice and simple. No one around here sells that piece. I also stumbled across a Valspar spray paint that is a nice complement to the tan door panels since I couldnt find the bronze Rustoleum that was reccomended.

Im still cheaper making them than having them made even after materials and a Dremel part.

dude! call me when you gonna do them, i installed my seperates and man what a pita.

All dremels are for fine work, not man handling cuts.
Use a scroll saw or jig saw.
That is how they cut holes that large.
Just head over to Harbor Freight... something cheap will work fine.
Just remember to drill a handfull of pilot holes around the inside perimeter of the hole, so you can cut the piece easier.
Good luck!

A router with a straight cutting bit with bearing to follow a circular template works pretty good.
