Need help identifying wire/plug under dash in FJ62

Found some questionable wiring going into this plug behind the kick panel on my 90 FJ62 and some wires had melted. Curious as to what this plug is for? It was taped up against the main harness. Almost looks like a diagnostic plug but I know that’s under the hood. It’s not the unused, headlight washer plug that’s further down and out of frame. Tried searching but had no luck since it was hard to describe really. Thanks for any insight.

I believe that is some sort of common ground….

Isn’t that the plug for the headlight squirters?
