Hi Gang,

It rained overnight and when I got in my car this morning I noticed my seat belt was wet. I looked over and noticed my pillar was wet to the touch. My windows and moonroof were all closed. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I have an '09 LC that I've owned for roughly 3 months. Here's a pic of the pillar. I plan on taking my car back to the dealership where the car was purchased and was hoping someone here would be able to provide some insight before I take her in.

Not sure where the drains around the sunroof are routed through or where the water goes if they're not working properly, but they've been known to get clogged. I believe shoving trimmer line through them is useful in keeping them clear.

The roof rack bolts into captured nuts along the drip rail. I suppose it's possible water got in there. Do you still have the rubber strips that run along the drip rail? There may be drains along there too that got clogged.

Those are the first things I'd check...

Open up the sunroof and check for water in the area in front of the sunroof. There should be drains in the front left and right corners. Are they clear, or are they blocked by debris?

We had a good storm in Nashville last night. Is this the first time you've noticed any water in the truck? Have you recently added a roofrack?

How far up the pillar was the trim wet? Beyond what you can see in the pictures? Any of the headliner wet? Something that may pinpoint the sunroof versus an issue lower down.

Possibly something wrong with the door seal. Was the door not closed all the way or the the seat belt jammed in the door when closed? Take a close look at the front & rear door seals to see if they make contact all the way around when closed.
