I'm purchasing a used engine for my 91 landcruiser. I've been told several things and want some confirmation on which is true. I think I have some low mileage engines tracked down, but have been told various things about what a compression test reading should be...one vendor said 135-145 is a solid number while another said 165-175 should be on the mark with 180 being the max. I don't want to screw this up because it's a big purchase. Anyone know the correct answer or have any other advice?
