Hey crew- FJ62 owner here, and I would love your guidance. I’ve been looking since last night to find a decent video that shows how to replace the AC belt on an FJ62. I have had no luck and I’m getting pretty frustrated.

I have absolutely scoured this forum and I see that there’s some helpful descriptive posts; trouble is I’m new to all this and I am definitely a visual learner. In full transparency I don’t know what half the things under the hood are haha. I refuse to pay to have this done as I know I can do it, but I could definitely use some guidance.

I realize I may get some hate posts here but if there’s someone who could help me nail this down I would be forever in your debt.

PS - manual purchased and on its way, but I heard it wasn’t super helpful on this subject.

Thank you!

Check this out:

I just went through this process mainly to check my alternator on the FJ62. It’s a bit of a struggle, go for the PB blaster or other sort of liquid wrench to all the bolts / nuts.
I removed the fan, then the shroud to get some clearance to work on the front of the engine. Study the adjuster / tensioner bolts and plan to swear! I also removed the air (smog) pump due to a bent bracket.

Thanks man - I appreciate the links!
I swear, if someone here made a youtube video on this process they would be instant royalty for all of us getting started.
