This may not be the right forum, but I thought someone might have a recommendation ~ I need a engine rebuilt for a 1973 International Scout II in Wilmington, NC. Any referral would be appreciated.

You are correct, this is not the right forum.

You may find some general information/shop recommendation in the regular tech forums (FJ40, FJ60, etc.) by using the search function, but I would recommend going to a more local forum to find something that "location specific".

I recommend NC4x4.com. It is a very active site. Second thread from the top of their forum index is "VENDOR AND SHOP REFERRALS".

why not go to the clubhouse area....look at the tab at the top of this screen, find club that covers that area..post there for info for machine shop.

The real question is why do you sign up for a primarily Toyota forum to ask where to get a Scout motor worked on? Just sayin...
