Anybody have a solid suggestion on where to get a new engine control computer at a reasonable price for a 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser? Used would be fine, just not looking to pay for a new one from Toyota.

I think if you buy used you will also need the master fob.

Search on car-part.com. year, make, model, computer(engine), I saw results ranging from $100-150. Also enter those part numbers on eBay, I saw some result there too.

You need to have one of the original keys with the ECU or you can't reprogram it. That is why I said you need to have the Master key. Without the Master Key the ECU is worthless. Thank you Toyota for looking out for us and all those car thieves who made them resort to this system.

So... If I purchase a new one from Toyota it will come with the Master Key? This is going to get expensive quick if that's the route I have to go.
