Need diaphram for vacuum secondary '76 2f

I am currently rebuilding a '76 asain for my '79 2f. I have been running a chinacarb for two years and it's acclerator pump is now T.U. I have a Japanese carb kit recommended here and a leather cup plunger for the accel pump, but no new diaphram. Now I find the asain's diaphram has 3 holes in it. I have done a search here but see no sources. BTW I have been using my FSM in combination with the great film series by Pighead, Can someone here please steer me to a source for this part so I don't have to make a bunch of calls on Monday. Many thanks in advance.

I've also seen it pictured in cheap kits.

Is the chinacarb rebuildable? I was running an original '75 carb, then I swapped it for the OEM-version that the Fuji and chinacarbs are clones of. The OEM has smaller jets, possibly a smaller venturi to go with it. I noticed better fuel mileage, but, my readings weren't exactly scientific.

I have thought about taking the vac assembly off the chinacarb and using it on my asain until I can get a diaphram. Not sure it will bolt up. Also as far as rebuilding the installed carb, do the asain type kits work in these? Might be an interesting experiment if I get bored this winter. In the meantime I will get a new diaphram coming for my real carb right away. Thanks!
 
I read your first post incorrectly? You meant that you have worn three holes in the secondary-diaphram? You are not talking about the Auxiliary Accelerator Pump diaphragm, which has three mounting holes in it. I think that I pointed at the wrong part from the SOR catalog. I didn't know that rebuild kits didn't come with secondary diaphragms. The secondary-diaphragm alone is SOR 042-16B. As far as I can tell, the secondary diaphrams were the same for my rusted-out '75 and the chinacarb, however, they aren't listed as the same in SOR catalog. My understanding is that the "1975-model-year" goes from 1/75 up to 9/75, so the SOR carburetor identifier-page has an original carb employing an Auxiliary Accelerator Pump diaphragm as listed from 1/75 to 11/75, so an early "1976-model-year"-carburetor uses the Auxiliary Accelerator Pump diaphragm.

I have both a chinacarb and am running an OEM-Aisan from CityRacer. They both use a different gasket (between the bowl and the air horn), than a ''75-carb. I don't know where the rebuild kit is for the Racer-OEM and clones, non-original carbs.

Ok thanks guys for setting me straight here. Sheesh Pinhead/Pighead.... I can't even keep my grandkid's names straight. I'll look at the numbers on the asain again. I know it has the 3 bolt vacuum can AND the 4 bolt one. The chinacarb only has the 4 bolt can. I bought a new non-usa carb and distributor from specter in about 1990 for my '79 pig and somehow I let them go on a fj60 I sold. I need to spend some time in front of the ass kicking machine for that one.....
 
Think Pinhead's vid shows the Aisan carb rebuild kit from SMP motor products(that's the one I used)-had all the gaskets needed-even the aux pump one(3 hole)-what you will not get is the accel pump check ball retainer clip--if the carb has been sitting for yrs, that little clip will be nothing more that rust flakes--I found them still available from Toyota back when I rebuilt my carb(I bought all ten that they had-used one saved two, and gave away the rest to mud folks)

Thanks, I'll take a look at that. I went to SOR site and a diaphram will be 37.00 +21 for shipping. Thinking if I can find a kit like on Pinhead's video that comes with the diaphram, I'd have a second set of parts for the future. I think his kit in the video was a 'Hygrade'? Here's what I'm using.

With this new info I have been able to narrow down my search. Standard Motor Products carb kit 791-B has both diaphrams 63.69 free shipping. My inner hillbilly says to apply some silicone on the back side of the old diaphram instead since the suction just pulls it in tighter. But then again that hillbilly has let me down a time or two in the past.

Some old-timers like Lanolin for rubber.
 
I've rendered sheep fat into tallow during my 'back to the land ' phase in the mid '70s but don't know much about lanolin. I have used #2 permatex for many years with great results, but what just popped into my head was that Flex-Seal aerosol 'As seen on TV' ... Little brake clean and a toothbrush for the surface prep and a couple coats...... In the same school of thought I have a half a can of the vinyl spray for changing the color of your upholstery, which btw has been my 'go to' repair for leaky intake manifolds. It works extremely well. At first the engine revs up a bit, directing you to just where it's needed. Soon the idle begins to smooth out. Within a few minutes even the worst intake leak has a perfect seal. Came up with this ten years ago on my 4 cyl tractor, then a 2f and a flathead six. All 3 idle like a dream. But I digress. This subject would make a good post on a trail repair thread. I'm guessing the Flex-Seal would even be better than the vinyl color paint.......
 
In the end I bought a new diaphram because I had carefully followed the entire pinhead film series and was excited about having a really nice original carb. I did not want to compromise the job and all was well when I fired it up. Upon starting, all that was needed was to screw in the idle stop about 1/2 turn and unscrew the idle mixture screw about one turn, and perfection all around. Perfect smooth idle and instant throttle response. Mr. Pinhead sir, I thank you for all the effort that went into your carb series!
